Roofing Contractor in Shorewood Hills, WI
That One Construction Co. is a roofing contractor working with homeowners throughout Shorewood Hills. If a storm left damage behind, or your roof is simply due for an honest look, we start with a free inspection and tell you plainly what we find. Shorewood Hills is a small, densely built village almost entirely surrounded by the City of Madison, just a couple miles from the UW-Madison campus. It’s also one of the highest-income markets we’ve come across in this part of Wisconsin, and the housing stock here hasn’t really grown in over a decade. That combination tends to mean well-maintained homes and higher-end materials, and homeowners who expect the same level of care from a roofing crew that they’d expect from anyone else they hire.

Joe, the owner, had flexible hours for meetings (quote and going over the plan) and he was very knowledgeable understanding our needs. We needed our roof re-decked and there were other requests for new vents and covering old vents. We were very happy with the work and interactions with all the people associated with the company and we would recommend them to others.Posted on Thumbtack Cheryl M.Verified 5 Star!!! We hired Joe to be our main contractor after a tree fell on our shop wrecking the deck, the stucco and putting a hole in the roof, plus other misc damage. He did an excellent job managing the project. He handled everything with professionalism and plenty of communication which made the process a lot less stressful. He also did a lot if the work himself, his work was very well done and our shop turned out super nice! Thanks Joe!
Two Reasons Shorewood Hills Homeowners Call a Roofing Contractor
The April 2026 Windstorm That Snapped Trees Near Shorewood Hills
Overnight on April 14, 2026, a storm system moved through the region and, according to a trained weather spotter, snapped a pine tree that fell on a house about two miles south of Shorewood Hills. Separately that afternoon, a large branch split off a mature tree about a mile northeast of the village. This part of Dane County also has a documented history of severe tornadoes passing through the wider area over the decades, though nothing on record has been a direct hit on Shorewood Hills itself.
Wind damage doesn’t always show up where you’d expect it. A downed tree is obvious. Lifted flashing or a loosened ridge cap from the same storm usually isn’t, and that’s exactly what a free inspection is meant to catch.
What Shorewood Hills' Strict Building Review Means for Your Roof
Why That One Construction Co. Is the Right Shorewood Hills Roofer
Insurance claim work makes up about 80% of what we do, and it shows in how we staff for it. We keep people whose entire job is coordinating with insurance companies, not just picking up when one calls. On a home with premium materials and a higher replacement cost, getting that estimate right matters even more, and if the number comes back short, we don’t just accept it.
Making sure it looks like we weren’t there is the standard we hold every crew to, and on a property like the ones here, that’s not optional. Tarps go down before anything comes off the roof, and the yard gets swept for nails when we’re done.
We’re also independently owned, with nobody upstream telling us to cut corners for a margin target. On a job like this one, that matters as much as the materials do.
