Roofing Contractor in Verona, WI

That One Construction Co. is a roofing contractor working with homeowners throughout Verona. Whether a storm damaged your roof or it’s simply time for a closer look, our crew inspects it free of charge and gives you a plain-spoken answer.

Verona is home to Epic Systems, one of the largest electronic health records software companies in the country, and that presence shows up in the numbers: this is the highest-education market of any city we’ve researched in this entire project, with nearly two-thirds of adults holding a bachelor’s degree or higher. It’s also one of the faster-growing cities in the area, and home values here run higher than the Dane County median, which tends to mean higher-end materials and higher replacement costs when something does go wrong.

What Our Customers Say

Don't just take our word for it - hear from satisfied customers

Two Reasons Verona Homeowners Call a Roofing Contractor

Verona homeowners call us for one of two reasons, mostly: a storm did visible or hidden damage to the roof, or the roof’s simply old enough to need an honest evaluation. Either way, a free inspection comes first, followed by a straight call on roof repair versus roof replacement, using the same 50% threshold insurers use for a total loss.

The 2014 EF3 Tornado That Hit Verona's Country View Elementary

On June 17, 2014, an EF3 tornado with estimated peak winds of 140 miles per hour touched down on the northwest side of Verona just after midnight, striking directly at Country View Elementary School. The school suffered a partial wall collapse, and multiple nearby homes were also damaged. It’s one of the most severe, best-documented tornado events found anywhere in this research.

That wasn’t an isolated year. Verona has seen tornado activity multiple other times since, including a confirmed EF1 that touched down about 2.5 miles southwest of the city in June 2011, and another EF1 that formed near Hawks Landing Golf Course in July 2021. More recently, on April 14, 2026, Verona was the starting point of a tornado-warned storm cell, and the city itself saw confirmed 70 mile per hour wind gusts twice that same day.

With a storm history like that, a roof-level inspection isn’t overkill, it’s just due diligence. Damage from wind that strong doesn’t always show up where you’d expect it to.

Verona Is Hiring a Second Building Inspector Because Growth Hasn't Slowed

The City of Verona runs its own in-house Building Inspection Department, authorized by the state to handle plan review for projects of any size. As of this writing, the city is actively hiring for a second Building Inspector position, a sign that growth here has outpaced the department’s current capacity. Every reroof still has to meet Wisconsin’s Uniform Dwelling Code, including ice and water shield on any slope of 4:12 or less, extending at least 30 inches up-slope from the eave and 12 inches past the interior wall face. We pull the permit and coordinate the inspection as part of the job, so a busy department doesn’t become your problem to manage.

Why That One Construction Co. Is the Right Verona Roofer

About 80% of what we do is insurance claim work, and in a city with Verona’s storm history, that’s not a coincidence. We keep staff whose entire job is coordinating with insurance companies, not just picking up when one calls. We’re there for the adjuster’s visit, and an underpaid estimate doesn’t just get accepted.

Joe Huber built homes before he moved into exteriors, and that matters after tornado-level wind. That kind of damage usually goes well beyond the shingles. We check the deck, the flashing, and the structure underneath, not just what’s visible from the ground.

We also hold to the same 50% threshold insurance companies use for a total loss, so a roof doesn’t get replaced before it actually needs to be.
